I began working with the Stratex team in the beginning of 2013 during a surprise career transition. Most of my professional life had been in complex technology sales, but in early 2013 I was named interim CEO of the company I was with. While I was confident in my sales skills, I knew I had much to learn about all the other aspects of running a company, and I didn't have the luxury of gaining this knowledge gradually over a long period of time if I was to transition from interim to permanent CEO. I knew the only way to be successful would be to get outside help.
